WHAT IS THE NEW WORLD CALDERA ROUTE?
The New World Caldera Route is a two-day high-altitude adventure through one of the most remote geological landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano.
The journey takes you through natural hot springs, highland wetlands, lagoons and extraordinary volcanic formations inside the New World Caldera. Along the route, you’ll discover remarkable igneous rocks, including rhyolites, diorites and ignimbrites.
The region is also home to native Andean wildlife such as vicuñas and highland birds, as well as distinctive vegetation including yareta, tola and high-altitude cacti.
Designed for experienced adventurers, this journey combines geology, wildlife, remote landscapes and the unforgettable experience of spending the night surrounded by the Bolivian highlands.
